Adverb Poem

Bob the Candy Corn
Bob the Candy Corn walks straightly
Bob the Candy Corn walks straightly, colorfully
Walks straightly, colorfully, happily
Straightly, colorfully, happily, excitedly
When kids are trick or treating

My Ghost Story

Did you know that 45% of people believe in ghosts? Well, 85% of the students at O’Neill High School do believe. That is because, if you are happy you might see Smiling Suzy skipping through the halls. Smiling Suzy is a 13 year old eighth grade girl who is always kind. She died from smiling to much. It may be sad and odd but it is true. She still loves to smile anyway.

Smiling Suzy is always carefree. You normally see her sitting in the band room playing people’s instruments, stealing their music, and helping kids write in notes. Her favorite instrument is the tenor saxophone. She wears bright T-shirts and jeans. She also has dazzling white teeth. Suzy is small, four foot six, and is always laughing. Her laugh is a giggle and she talks with a high pitched voice. No matter what time of year it is she is always perfectly tan as if it were the middle of summer. She also   always smells like vanilla icing. Suzy wears her long blonde hair in a high ponytail.
Even if you're sad, she come over and try to help you. Even if she is in the biggest rush to get to the band room before class starts, she always has time to stop and help you. Whether it be pick up your books or help you open the lock on your locker, she is always there to help.

The teachers can’t see Smiling Suzy, but the students wish they could. Remember if you come to O’Neill Senior High School, be untroubled and you might see Smiling Suzy skipping through the stairwells.

Hogwarts Halloween Feast

Samantha
Period 3
October 17, 2014

When I soared into the Great Hall, I smelled the pungent aroma of food. As I hovered  among the floating pumpkins and bats, thunder roared from the celling. I always love flying near the bewitched celling because it makes me feel as if I were gliding outside.
Then I spied Harry, Ron and Hermione. They were devouring roasted and mashed potatoes, lamb chops, pork chops, and many more flavorful foods. I miss eating. Now, all I do is get heavy books thrown at me! Harry and his friends had just completed eating. The plates were suddenly cleared and dessert was severed. There was rice pudding, chocolate eclairs, apple pies and a pile various blocks of ice cream.

The Halloween Feast is one of my favorite times of the year because of all the enjoyment going on. The students are outside playing Quidditch and inside playing hide ’n’ seek. All of the ghosts, including me, Moaning Myrtle, love to frighten the students. I hope next year is even better!

Revised Nursery Rhyme

"Wee Willie Winkie”
by Mother Goose

Wee Willie Winkie scurries through the silent town,
Upstairs and downstairs in his purple nightgown,
Rapping at the frosted window, Squalling loudly through the lock,

"Are the children in their warm beds, for now it's eight of the clock?"
